    Description

    VEDUN
    JEW'S HARP BY EVGENY VOLGUTOV
This is the blackened instrument with the laser-cut frame. This makes the jew's harp light and easy to set on teeth (very helpful for beginners). The sound is similar to Khakassian models by its roaring and strong additional vibrations, but is easier to conduct, more mellow, it also has nice middle-range voice. It is good for those who want to set their mind through fast rhythmic playing.
"Vedun" is a medium-low-tone jew's harp with a fairly clean sound. Elegant frame with no sharp corners are medium in size conveniently fits in hand (base flat and smooth) and the teeth (optimum thickness of the deck).
An excellent model, that has a traditionally blue color, which can be seen on all of the jew's harps by Evgeny Volgutov. It is convenient in a fast manner playing, but at the same time it is magnificent in a slow meditational manner as well, as its sound is long with a pleasant attenuation at the end. We highly recommend trying to play this jew's harp with breathing, thanks to breathing all overtones and sound depth are perfectly revealed.
“Vedun” means the word "sorcerer" (shaman), if you want to plunge into the magic of sounding this jew's harp is for you, it has everything: either melody, or sounding and at the same time a certain mystery thanks to the shimmering dark blue color.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR JEW'S HARP
Moisture is a main enemy for all jew's harps, especially saliva (even stainless alloys deteriorate from prolonged contact with saliva).
Wipe dry your jew's harp after
    playing.
Grease and dirt also adversely affects on metal -
wash your hands before using your jew's harp.
For polishing it is good to clean the jew's harp with tooth powder, chalk or Goya polishing paste
(use towel - it is convenient). This is especially helpful if the
    jew's harp got dark.
    Protect the tongue
(the most fragile part of the instrument) from damage. We recommend storing the jew's harp in a wooden case, where there is a slot for the tongue,
in which it is securely fixed.
