Polylock flexible stainless steel tube is the most robust flexible tube. Polylock lasts substantially longer and has a much smoother wall for better gas flow design. This makes it great for use in exhausts and air intake systems.

Polylock is interlocking helically wound strip. When a bend is applied to the polylock it loosens the lock between the joints which can make the polylock less air tight. This is acceptable in external conditions but should ideally be wrapped with a heat wrap to make sure all of the exhaust gases are kept inside. This will also improve the performance of your exhaust by keeping your exhaust gases hotter.

What Can You Use Polylock For?
As well as exhaust repair and customisation polylock is used for applications where vibration absorption, thermal expansion and noise attenuation are of consideration such as:
Ducting for air, smoke, fumes, etc.
Dry bulk handling - ash, dust, paper trim, grain, plastic pellets, etc.
Protective capillary casing of instrument cables, wires, etc.
What Does T304 Mean?
T304 is the grade of Stainless Steel. T304 is corrosion resistant, can be polished to a bright finish, and is reliable in all conditions. Other grades are 409 which has a much longer life span than Mild Steel but will eventually rust. Your OE exhaust is likely to be made from 409 Stainless Steel. There is also 316 which is used in the food and marine industry.
